At the time of the application, the candidate submits the following supporting documents:
Application form for participation in the program (available in printed form from the
program secretariat and in electronic form from the program’s website).
- Copy of degree or certificate of completion of studies from a Greek University and in the
case of graduates from foreign universities, a certificate of approval and equivalence from
DOATAP. Certificate of detailed marks from all undergraduate classes, in which the final
degree grade is also indicated. - Curriculum vitae detailing studies, professional experience and research activity, if any.
- Short memorandum, 500 words, in which the candidate's scientific interests are
mentioned, as well as the reasons why he is interested in attending studies at the specific
program.
In order for a candidate to participate in the selection process, apart from Greek, knowledge of a
foreign language is considered essential, which, when their native language is not confirmed, is
verified either by a degree from a corresponding foreign language university, or by the
possession of a recognized diploma of at least proficiency level B2.
The level of foreign language knowledge is proven as follows:
a) State Certificate of Law 2740/1999 as replaced by par. 19 of Article 13 of Law 3149/2003,
b) With a degree in Foreign Language and Philology or a Degree in Foreign Languages of
Translation and Interpreting in the country or an equivalent and equivalent school abroad,
c) With a Bachelor's degree, undergraduate or postgraduate diploma or a doctoral degree from
any recognized institution of higher education abroad,
d) With a Baccalaureate title equivalent to Greek Secondary Education schools, if they have
been obtained after normal study of at least six years abroad.
The foreign language teaching proficiency license does not prove knowledge of a foreign
language (P.D. 347/2003).
Applicants who hold the relevant license must provide a certified copy and an exact translation of
the degree on the basis of which the foreign language teaching proficiency license was issued.
- In the case of a foreign candidate, certified knowledge of the Greek language at
least of level B2 (good knowledge) is required. For the knowledge of Slavic
languages, a certificate from the Foundation for Studies of the Blood Peninsula, or a
degree from a recognized institution, must be submitted. Foreigners should submit
a certificate of proficiency for Greek language from a New Hellenic School
University of Language. In case there are graduates from a Greek-speaking
University, this degree is equivalent to a certificate of proficiency of the Greek
language. - For the inclusion of candidates in the program, a very good knowledge of the
English language, at least level B2, is considered essential. In the event there is no
official evidence of a foreign language, the candidate is examined orally to verify
his/her knowledge. - Evidence for any research and writing activity, participation in educational student
mobility programs, as well as any professional experience related to the knowledge
field of neuroscience should be demonstrated. - Photocopy of two sides of the identity card.
- Two letters of recommendation from faculty members or the candidate's employer.
