The subject of this Masters Program is the interdisciplinary postgraduate education, the promotion of
knowledge, the integrated teaching and training both at the preclinical-laboratory level and at the
applied clinical level in the field of neurosciences. The program focuses on the theoretical, as well as
practical training of young health scientists, for the acquisition of comprehensive knowledge related to
neurosciences. Teaching covers topics from the spectrum of Neuroanatomy, Neurophysiology,
Neurobiology, Neuropharmacology, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.

An important part of the program involves the linkage of basic with clinical neurosciences. Particular
emphasis is placed on neuroprotection, neuroregeneration, as well as biotechnological developments
that are expected to play an increasingly important role in the field.

The purpose of the Master’s Program is to provide high-quality theoretical and applied knowledge in
neuroscience. Graduates will obtain comprehensive training on fields of basic and clinical neurosciences.
In addition, they are expected to receive the necessary background which will facilitate them to apply for
a research and clinical program, but also to further utilize the acquired knowledge, in their subsequent
professional-scientific career through research programs. Acquired knowledge will also allow them to
connect with the market and the industry and collaborate with academic institutions and research
centers.
