The next generation of neuroscientists will be called to approach and treat diseases of the nervous system
with a different philosophy and perspective, relying heavily on evolving technology, complementing,
improving and enriching knowledge related to brain and spinal cord function, anatomical structures that
both still keep many secrets and display a multitude of possibilities to highlight. The program aims to
provide and acquire a high scientific level of theoretical and applied knowledge in the field of
neuroscience.
Graduates of the program will receive comprehensive training in basic and clinical neuroscience. In
addition, they are expected to receive the necessary supplies in order to apply and further utilize the
acquired knowledge in their later careers through research projects, and in clinical practice, connection to
the market and industry and inter-institutional networks.
The program is also oriented towards the development of critical and research skills required for
doctoral-level postgraduate studies and for research activities in the field of neuroscience. The guiding
philosophy of the program is to provide postgraduate students with solid information, contemporary
knowledge, methods and basic principles that will enable them to continuously train, improve and create
an innovative essence by applying modern technologies, and to foster in them the criticisms and creative
skills that a socially and ethically responsible professional activity requires. Part of the educational process
is also the possibility of engagement of the postgraduate students in fields of their specialization.
